Hurst Lin is returning to the Midas List for the ninth time. Lin cofounded DCM China in 2006 and has built a record of IPOs and high-valued companies since, Gigaloud (IPO 2022) and e-learning platform QuantaSing (IPO 2023) among them.One of his best deals is an early round into short-form video platform Kuaishou in 2014. The company went public in 2021 at a $150 billion market cap.Earlier career exits include Chinese e-commerce company VipShop (IPO 2012) and classified ads marketplace 58.com (IPO 2013).Before becoming an investor, Lin cofounded Sina Corporation, which became the first Chinese company to go public in the U.S. Recent investments include AI infrastructure platform BentoML and FlowGPT, an appstore for generative AI chatbots.
