Accel veteran Sameer Gandhi's most lucrative deal remains his investment in CrowdStrike back in 2013; the cybersecurity firm went public in 2019 with a $6.8 billion market cap and is now valued at $75.6 billion. Gandhi has inked deals with Indian startups like e-commerce company Flipkart, in which Walmart acquired a majority stake and was last valued at $33 billion.Other deals include Freshworks, a cloud-based customer service platform, which went public in September 2021 at a $10 billion market cap, though it's lost more than half of its value since.The former investment banker has backed over 60 startups to date, including Dropbox, Spotify, Venmo and drone maker DJI, last valued at $16 billion.The MIT and Stanford graduate joined Accel from Sequoia in 2008.
