Scott Raney is a managing director at Redpoint Ventures, which he joined shortly after its founding in 2000. In 2012, Raney led the VC firm's Series B investment in Stripe, whose valuation in March 2023 fell to $50 billion-nearly half its peak-after a Series I funding round.In 2023 Cribl, a data management company, surpassed $100M in annual recurring revenue. Scott led Redpoint's Series C investment in Cribl.Raney briefly ascended to number 39 on the Midas List in 2022 due to HashiCorp's IPO at a $14 billion market cap the previous December. He now is number 57, moving 17 places since last year.
