Venture capitalist Hans Tung is a repeat Midas Lister, though this year he falls outside the top ten for the first time in five years. Despite this, his record remains impressive. Tung has a history of backing successful tech startups, with 28 unicorns and 11 exits in his portfolio. These exits were valued between $1.4 billion and a staggering $375 billion. Ten of his investments, including well-known names like Affirm and Airbnb, have gone public, resulting in gains of roughly $2.8 billion. Most recently, he supported tech marketing firm Ibotta, which had a successful IPO in April 2024 with a market cap of $2.7 billion.
