David Solomon has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs since October 2018 and January 2019, respectively. With no other current or past U.S.-listed public company directorships, Solomon is a leader deeply engaged in Goldman Sachs' core values and client service. Over his 20-year tenure, he has played significant roles, including President and Chief Operating Officer from January 2017 to September 2018 and Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division from July 2006 to December 2016. He has held various positions of increased seniority, such as Global Head of the Financing Group from September 1999 to July 2006. Solomon's strategic thinking, business expertise, and extensive interaction with clients, investors, and other stakeholders have been pivotal in developing and leading the firm’s strategic vision. In addition to his professional achievements, Solomon is actively involved in community and professional organizations, serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Hamilton College, a member of the Board of Directors at the Robin Hood Foundation, a member of the Executive Committee at the Partnership for New York City, and a member of the Board of Trustees at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Solomon graduated from Hamilton College.
