Thomas Jordan is a prominent Swiss economist who has served as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) since 2012. Born in 1963, Jordan has a distinguished academic background with a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Bern, where he also completed his habilitation. His expertise lies in monetary economics, financial stability, and economic policy.
