Captain K.R. Reinhold, representing the US Coast Guard, is a national security affairs fellow at the Hoover Institution. As an MH-65E Dolphin helicopter pilot, he has conducted search-and-rescue, counterdrug, and airspace intercept operations across the Western Hemisphere throughout his twenty-year career. Captain Reinhold recently served as the chief of operations of Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron (HITRON) in Jacksonville, Florida. His other operational assignments include tours in Puerto Rico, South Florida, and New Jersey.
