Edgar Carvalho, Advisor to the Secretary of State for Energy at EDM-Empresa de Desenvolvimento Mineiro. EDM is a private company owned by the Portuguese State. It has the concession rights to the environmental recovery of the Portuguese old mining sites and for that purpose EDM develops and promotes the execution of environmental remediation projects. EDM also develops exploration activities of mineral deposits in world class metallogenic provinces of Portugal, particularly focused on base metals, tin, tungsten and precious metals but aiming for any critical mineral raw materials.
