Amina Benkhadra is the General Director of the National Office of Hydrocarbons & Mines (ONHYM) of Morocco. In 1982, Ms. Benkhadra started her career at the Office of Mineral Research and Participation (OMRP), first as Head of the Mining Studies Department and then as Head of the Mining Research Department, and then as Head of the Investment Division. In 1994, she was appointed Director for Mining in the Ministry of Energy & Mining. She is on the governing board of several mining companies, subsidiaries or partners ONHYM. She has been Executive Director of the National Research & oil exploration (ONAREP) since August 2000. She is the president of the Federation of the Mineral Industry (FDIM). She was Minister of Energy, Mines, Water & Environment of Morocco in the Government of El Fassi between 2007 & 2012. Ms. Benkhadra graduated in civil engineering & mining from the Ecole des Mines de Nancy & holds a doctorate in Engineering Sciences and Mining Technologies. She also holds a double degree in Management from Columbia University.
