Born into a mining family in Stewart BC, Rob is a Professional Geologist, graduating in 1993 with a B.Sc. in Geology from UBC, and a M.Sc. in Mineral Exploration from Queens University in 1998. Following a decade with major and junior companies, exploring in a variety of tectonic environments throughout North America, Rob was a founder of: Full Metal Minerals in 2003, Underworld Resources in 2007 as well as several junior explorers. He was the part of teams that have made numerous discoveries, primarily gold deposits and involved in three junior company M&A transactions. Rob was President and CEO of IDM Mining Ltd. until March, 2019, when the Company consolidated with Ascot Resources. He is an independent director of Gold Standard Ventures. Rob is a Director of Britannia Mine Museum, and Chair of the Association for Mineral Exploration (AME BC). Rob is the father to two great kids and a pack of vizslas.
