Horacio has fulfilled City Manager / CEO and Director jobs for more than 25 years in Local Government Management and private sector Corporations. He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with extensive experience as Director and has worked in Argentina, Brazil and Canada. Horacio is focused on corporate efficiencies, revenue diversification and building sustainable Corporations and Communities for current and future generations. A strong believer in Continuous Improvement via Lean, Agile and Project Management techniques. He has been involved for more than 6 years in the Alberta Municipalities Sustainability & Environment Committee, with strong focus on ESG, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Alberta Data Partnership, a Public Private Partnership Joint Venture, where he is also a member of the Governance Review Committee. Horacio is also a Director in the Board of APEX Supplementary Pension Plan in Alberta. Horacio holds his ICD.D and Governance Professionals of Canada GPC.D designation. Throughout his career, Horacio has been building highly functional teams, being able to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, integrating corporate operations and people, at all levels, from front line staff to field staff to senior managers, in a customer-centric approach. In parallel with his corporate career, Horacio has been leader of multiple Expeditions to the Seven Summits (highest mountain on every Continent) and the North & South Poles. He has summited the 7 Summits, including Mount Everest via Nepal (South Face) and Tibet (North Face) and keeps an active lifestyle climbing and running ultra-marathons.
