Tan Sri Clement Hii, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) graduate from the United Kingdom, has been conferred honorary doctorate degrees by the University of Sunderland, the University of Southern Queensland and his alma mater, the University of Wolverhampton. He is a former senior journalist holding positions in several newspapers, including Chief Editor of Borneo’s leading English daily, “The Borneo Post”. He was the Executive Deputy Chairman of Star Publications (M) Bhd for two years, until end of December 2010. He is active on social media, and believes that communication and its right tools and approaches play a crucial role in any organisation. Currently, he is also the Group Managing Director of SEG International Bhd., which owns and operates one of Malaysia’s largest tertiary education providers. He also holds positions in numerous private limited companies and charitable foundations. He and his organisations place corporate social responsibility as one of their top priorities.
