Ismael Clemente, born in Valencia del Mombuey in 1970, is the CEO and vice president of Merlin Properties, a leading real estate group in Spain. He began his career at Arthur Andersen and later worked at Garrigues law firm before entering the real estate sector. During the 2008 financial crisis, he left Deutsche Bank rather than carry out layoffs, eventually founding Magic Real Estate in 2012 and Merlin Properties in 2014. Under his leadership, Merlin Properties has become one of the largest Socimis in Europe, with significant assets and successful transactions, including the acquisition of Testa Inmuebles and integration with Metrovacesa.
