Barlex, headquartered in Montreal, is expanding its renewable energy portfolio with a $400 million investment to acquire seven US solar installations and three Quebec wind farms. CEO Patrick Decosta highlights the significant capacity increase, adding 145 megawatts of wind in Quebec and 118 megawatts of solar in the US, marking the company's first major move into solar energy, aligning with its strategic focus on diversification and growth in the renewable energy sector.
