Kevin J. Mattson is the Managing Partner of Northeast Asset Management, LLC. Kevin entered the field of commercial real estate in 1997, founding a company called Harper's Development, which later became Mattson Development. At Harper's and Mattson, Kevin oversaw the execution and development of several large-scale commercial real estate projects totaling more than $200 million, primarily in Northern New England. Kevin was appointed to the Maine Uniform Building Code Task force by Governor Angus King and was appointed to the Finance Authority of Maine by Governor John Baldacci, on which he served as Treasurer. He also has served on the board of the Maine Children's Home in Waterville, Maine. He is the recipient of several professional awards for completed projects, including: 2008 State-wide Preservation Honor Award from Maine Preservation The Outstanding Historic Preservation Project from the Maine Downtown Center in 2010 Notable Project of the Year award from the Maine Real Estate Developers Association in 2011 for the creation of a ground-breaking musculoskeletal medical arts building Notable Project of the Year award from the Maine Real Estate Developers Association in 2018 for the redevelopment of the former Maine General Medical Center campus The 2020 Maine Preservation Honor Award for outstanding historic preservation Prior to founding Mattson Development, Kevin worked for the Maine Legislature as the Chief of Staff for the House Majority Leader. Kevin was awarded a BA in Accounting from Skidmore College and received an MBA from the University of Maine.
