Johnne Syverson has more than 45 years of experience in financial consulting and advising. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, and one of only 2,000 practitioners in the United States who is credentialed as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®). He was among the first in the nation to attain the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation. In addition, he has a Masters of Science in Financial Services degree (MSFS) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Penn. Johnne specializes in values-based planning for high-net-worth families, a process that incorporates their philanthropic values into the traditional financial and estate planning process. He also serves as a resource to other professionals in the area of advanced estate and charitable tax planning. In 1981, he co-founded the first independent fee-for-service financial planning firm in Iowa. He has served as past president of the Central Iowa chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Johnne served as past president of the Mid-Iowa Estate Planning Council, and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) made up exclusively of fee-only planners. Johnne served as past president of the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy (AiP), an office that reflects his expertise in charitable planning. He also served as past president of Mid-Iowa Planned Giving Council. Johnne currently serves as the Chair of the Iowa Christian Generosity Council.
