Gupta is managing partner and cofounder of DST Global, where he oversees investments in companies like Chime, Cred and Frubana.He has seen three of his investments go public over the past few years: Airbnb (May 2024 market cap of approximately $103 billion); Dada ($576 million market cap); and Instacart ($10 billion valuation).In 2022, he led Series D funding into Whatnot, the popular livestream shopping app, more than doubling its valuation from $1.5 billion to $3.7 billion.He was also involved with DST's investments in Alibaba, Twitter and Whatsapp, and has been an observer on the Boards of Brex, Byju's, Rappi, Swiggy, Udaan and Whatnot, among others.
