Nakamura cofounded Sozo Ventures in 2012 to help startups go global by expanding into the Japanese market.He debuted on the Midas List in April 2021, the same month his portfolio company Coinbase went public. Nakamura was also an early investor in enterprise software business Palantir (IPO September 2020).Before Sozo Ventures, Nakamura helped bring the internet to Japan as a member of Yahoo Japan's founding team.In 2020, he became a council member for the University of Chicago's Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. "Iconic companies go global," he says, "and global markets go through Japan."
