Dr. Kenneth Calvert joined the history faculty of Hillsdale College in 1996. He holds degrees from Wheaton College (B.A.), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Harvard University (Th.M.), and Miami University of Ohio (Ph.D.). During the winter of 1986, Dr. Calvert lived in Pakistan, serving Afghan refugees during the Russian War. In 1988 and 1989, he attended Bristol and Oxford Universities as a visiting scholar. Since 1999, Dr. Calvert has served as director of the College’s Oxford Study Abroad Program. He received the Emily Daugherty Award for Teaching Excellence at Hillsdale College in 1999, and in 2000, he was named Professor of the Year.
